Happy Friday!! The weekend has finally arrived. I hope you all had a great week with your families and kiddos! This week in therapy, we read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. & Eric Carle. This is such a fun book to use while targeting sequencing and color goals.
If you search Pinterest you will find some great activities to use with this story (and some are even free!) I found this really cute book that the kids created on Mrs. Ricca's Kindergarten blog. You can grab a copy here!
After we read the story, first the kids helped me put the pages in sequence order. Then they got to show their color knowledge by coloring the animals the correct color (following directions goal!)
I also used the app Toddler Toys by Photo Touch (which is only a .99 download) to create a receptive language/ vocabulary activity to go along with the book. I took photos of the animals/people in the story and added directions such as, "Touch the purple cat." You can see an old post on how to create these easy activities in the app here. I love that app and customize it frequently. Best .99 I ever spent!
My artic kiddos and I played some BINGO this week from Super Duper!
I hope you had a great week, feel free to share your highlights, too!
