Another week of summer has come and gone! This week we packed as much summer fun in the speech room as we could and invited in an old friend... the old lady! Yep you guessed it! This week we read the story, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell!
I can't get enough of these old lady books. I mean really, the kids love them and I get to target multiple speech & language goals... SOLD! Since I knew this book was going to be on my must-have summer list, I created a story companion to go along with the book.
This packet includes activities that target vocabulary, sequencing, following directions, articulation, and rhyming... to name a few!
Check out my rhyming skills!
I can sequence the story!
And because any fun speech session isn't complete without a craftivity... we borrowed Jen from Crazy Speech World's sand castle idea! The kids had fun "building" sand castles with their articulation targets for the week.
You can download a copy of my There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell story companion here! Is this story on your summer reading list, too? Well if it is you're in luck! (and if it isn't, it really should be!) I will be giving away 2 copies of this story companion! Enter below, I will announce the winners on Wednesday!
