Puppy Adoption Day may have been my favorite memory from pre-k this year! During our animal unit, we take one week and dedicate it to pets. On the last day of our pet unit, we adopt puppies!
Each child chooses a puppy from the basket then visits different centers with their puppy. One is an 'All About My Puppy' worksheet. They also make a collar for the puppy out of pipe cleaners and beads. They then go decorate a doghouse for their new friend. There is also a vet center where they give their puppy their first check up. And last they sign their adoption certificate!
