Happy Friday!! Cheers to us for making it through another week. How was your week? Was it filled with fun Fall themed activities? My week was festive both at home and at work. I finally got to tackle a Pinterest project that has been on my to-do list for about a month now... a Fall burlap wreath!
It would be embarrassing if I told you how many online video tutorials I watched before I finally figured out how to make this "easy" wreath. It actually was pretty easy once I figured it out. But now it's up and checked off my list! After the wreath was completed and I stocked up on cinnamon pumpkin and spiced cider candles and soaps from Bath & Body Works... I'm feeling pretty festive. Even in 90* Florida weather!
To celebrate Fall in therapy this week, we read the classic story, There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves by Lucille Colandro!
I found some super cute (and free) activities to use with this story on 3 Dinosaurs. This website is filled with fall activities to use with little ones. You can download the packets here!
I also found a new app that I am loving! Since I do have a lot of PreK kids on my caseload, we spend a lot of time working on colors and shapes. I found the app Ask Me! that addresses colors and shapes in such a fun, musical way! Even one of my first graders picked to play the app for her "free time" at the end of our session. The app is $3.99 but you can check out a free version here.
Ignore the crossant.... :)
I actually downloaded this app when they were offering it for free for a limited time. I try to share as many free apps as I can on my Facebook page, but I learn about them from AppyMall. If you don't already follow them, I suggest you do. I have gotten some great apps for free by simply following their posts.
I hope you all had a great week in speech... I'd love to hear all about it!
